“My son was in a bit of a predicament, travel wise and it was very late. He was greeted by a fantastic man called Paul, at the Macclesfield hotel near the train station. I could hear over the phone his attentiveness, and fantastic customer service. Paul went above and beyond to help in every way. You have a really valuable member of staff there, which shouldn’t go unnoticed. Thanks Paul!”

“Greeted with a smile by a very friendly, professional and competent young lady on reception. The stairways, corridor and our room were exceptionally clean. The bed in our Plus room was comfortable and it was nice that we could have the window open if wanted. Bedding, towels, toilet rolls/soap dispenser and drinks items all clean, well-stocked and good quality. A surprisingly good sleep away from home and excellent value for money.”

“The accommodation was excellent in every way. Clean, accessible, as my husband is disabled and comfortable. Good, convenient parking. The bed looked small but in fact was perfectly adequate. The HUGE problem was the unbearable noise from the station. Not trains but there was loud work in progress all night, beginning around midnight. Every time it stopped, I felt a wave of relief, but it would start again within minutes. The whole night. I managed to doze for less than 20 minutes. Needless to say, I was VERY irritable by 07.00; time to get up and travel 2 hours by car. Fortunately, I wasn't driving, but we had to make several extra stops as well, to allow my husband to rest. We certainly wouldn't have booked here, if we'd suspected such a dreadful night.”

“Same as all travel lodges. Budget night away in a good location. Parking opposite good for one night, no charge during night time hours so Carries your money over into next day if you stay overnight. But you will need to park at the station if staying more than 14 hours.”
